I’m Jin, a Ph.D. candidate in Bioengineering at the University of Pittsburgh, specializing in RF simulation, MRI hardware design, and neuroimaging. My research focuses on the development of advanced RF head coils for ultra-high field (7T) MRI, including the design, simulation, and manufacturing of multi-nuclear (¹H/³¹P) coil systems aimed at improving structural and metabolic imaging of the human brain.
Before beginning my Ph.D., I worked as a research engineer at the Child Mind Institute, where I helped develop the Configurable Pipeline for the Analysis of Connectomes (C-PAC), an open-source platform for fMRI preprocessing and analysis. My work there involved integrating neuroimaging toolkits, building reproducible workflows, and developing data visualization interfaces for brain imaging research.
My interdisciplinary background spans electromagnetic simulation, MRI coil prototyping, neuroimaging analysis, and software development. I am passionate about applying technical innovation to biomedical challenges, particularly in medical imaging, RF systems, and brain-computer interface technologies. I’m currently seeking industry roles where I can contribute to the development of advanced healthcare technologies.
